What to Bring

This list is not exhaustive nor do you need to bring everything, it is merely a list to get you started!
Backcountry skis/ snowboard/ snowshoes
If Skiing, avalanche safety equipment - beacon, shovel, probe
Pulk sled, backpack
Appropriate clothing - base layers, snow pants, jacket, gloves, wool socks
Sunglasses/goggles, hat/ helmet, sunscreen
Extra warm layers, hats, slippers for the hut
Warm sleeping bag, pillow case
Trash bags - you pack it in & pack it out
Food, snacks, coffee
Water, drink mix, water bottle
Headlamps, batteries, portable charging bricks
First Aid Kit
Toiletries

Some degree of danger always exists in the backcountry. Before departing, check the updated avalanche forecasts, observations and weather forecasts and plan accordingly! Also familiarize yourself with the approach to the hut and the terrain around the hut. Here are a couple of resources:

Written directions will be emailed to you as well as a GPX track file. Please bring or download some combination of the following navigation guides: printed map, printed directions, downloaded GPX files, downloaded maps.
You are responsible for finding the route to the hut. Do not depend on there being a broken track to the hut or assume that tracks originating at the trailhead will lead to the hut - fresh snowfall or wind can obscure the tracks. The suggested winter route is only intermittently marked.
